#2 A Little of Life as We Know It

BLOG RULES

1. I do not expect this blog to be anything of note so neither should you.

2.It is purely for me. Something to amuse myself and use up some spare moments in the day.

3. It is being written in replacement of going to the gym as many of mans greatest work is.

4.Always plug in laptop before starting blog, and thank your lucky stars you didn't lose the whole thing after spending an age uploading photos.

The Blog Follows....

I first discovered blogging through my friend. For the purpose of confidentialy i will refer to her as Hat, though this is not confidential to any of those who know us both. I very sadly became a subscriber to my friends blog, like the secret geek that I am. After leaving uni we were all high of expectations.Maybe not so much myself, i left with a 2:2, a distaste for filling outjob application forms and an unusual urge to remain in my home town. But Hatten was bound for London. True she acheieved a 2:2 aswell (so I don't feel quite so ad about myself) but in my opinion working in the big bad city made my friend hat some sort of sex & the city girl while I remained a country bumpkin.
I have had two jobs since leaving uni and both have been within 5 minutes walking distance of home - and after my friends blog - something I am extremely pleased about. For the pleasure of any audience that may be reading this, but mainly to relive my own amusement please find below images from her blog. I think these images gave me a huge insight into her miserable days after leaving uni and perhaps what i feel are the miserable days of those working in the big bad city.

I never want to end up like these poor gentleman! This is why I stay in my lovely Roman spa hometown. I do not want to work more than 9 to 5 really and although I do I'm only a minute away from home and I don't waste precious times on journeys like these men.
I think the key thing about life is that it goes so quickly. You get to thinking about what you would do if you die. But what I would like to argue is that these are the things your should be doing any way! And things that I am not doing.
I watched a film recenlty called the bucket lise. A film of two old gents with cancer who spend their last months doing exactly what they want like skydiving, climbing mountains and travelling the world. Although the constraints of work mean that I can't just go off willy nilly (just yet) I think that I should create my own list, of things I really want to do and achieve. So what will follow with my next blog is my list. My list of how I want to live!!
That's all for now.
